Vasil Naydenov (born September 3, 1950, in Sofia) is a Bulgarian pop and rock singer-songwriter, composer, and pianist. After graduating from the Bulgarian Musical Academy in 1973, Naydenov served as the frontman for the progressive rock group Diana Express until 1979. He launched a solo career in 1979 with the song “Adaptatsiya”, which was named Melody of the Year. Throughout the 1980s, Naydenov won multiple awards at the Golden Orpheus festival, including first prize for “Predutrin” (1979). His studio albums include Telefonov lyubov (1982), Chudo (1983), and Molba (1985). He recorded significant hits such as “Po parvi petli” (1980) and “Mezhduchasie” (1983). Naydenov was named an Honorary Citizen of Sofia in 2018. In February 2025, he released the single “Tam, na zavoya” in collaboration with the Argirov Brothers.
