Lucien Nicolet, known mononymously as Luciano, was born on February 24, 1978, in Montcherand, Switzerland. He began his musical journey at 12 when his mother bought him a guitar and started in punk rock bands before transitioning to electronic music. Luciano's career took off when he began DJing at local clubs in Santiago, Chile, at 16. In 2000, Nicolet moved to Switzerland to study sound engineering and established residencies at Weetamix club in Geneva and Amnesia in Ibiza. He joined the Cocoon team for their Monday night parties at Amnesia in 2001, becoming a core part of the Cocoon Ibiza party until 2006. Nicolet's discography includes EPs such as Rise of Angel (2012). He co-founded the label Cadenza with Philippe Quenum in 2002. Nicolet has won multiple awards, including the Ibiza DJ Awards.
