Akwo Charles McCoy M. Born on the 10th of May '96 in the southwest region of Cameroon Kumba to be precise.
Being the last in family of 4, Loocid lost both parents when he was still just a toddler but in his word "Growing up wasn't easy but seeing how much I have come only means God has bound me for greatness"
Loocid grew up in kumba and attended GHS kumba mbeng and CCAS kumba for his secondary and high school respectively. He moved to Buea for his university studies were he started his music career professionally however he had started singing since his very tender age.
2014 he released his first single titled LIKE YOU and came with a mega hit titled LAVIDA LOCA he went back to school but has a continuous series of releases including an Debut EP titled NO LOVE. Emcee was his ever first stage name but he changed his name to LOOCID in the early 2023 and has released 3 singles and a debut EP titled SLIP 'N' SLIDE.
