Locomotive was a British group from Birmingham formed in 1965. The band was founded by Jim Simpson and included Chris Wood and Mike Kellie. Their style combined elements of jazz, rock, and ska. The group achieved recognition with the single “Rudi's in Love” (1968), which reached number 25 on the UK Singles Chart. Their recordings include the album We Are Everything You See (1970), which was produced by Gus Dudgeon at Abbey Road Studios and featured the tracks “Mr. Armageddon” and “Coming Down”. Subsequent recordings include the single “Roll Over Mary” (1970). The ensemble changed its name to The Dog That Bit People in 1970 and became inactive in 1971. Their album We Are Everything You See was reissued in 1995 and 2010.
