Jaakko Sakari Salovaara is a Finnish musician and record producer known by the stage name JS16. Salovaara released the first single “Hypnosynthesis” (1991) at the age of 16. The debut studio album Stomping System (1998) featured the tracks “Stomp To My Beat” and “Love Supreme”. The single “Stomping System” (1997) reached number 6 on the UK Club Chart. Salovaara produced the group Bomfunk MC's including the track “Freestyler” (2000) and collaborated with Darude on the anthems “Sandstorm” and “Feel the Beat”. In 2002 Salovaara remixed the Britney Spears single “Overprotected” for the soundtrack of the film Crossroads. Salovaara also formed the duo Dallas Superstars with Heikki Liimatainen and released the album Flash (2003). Salovaara founded the record label 16 Inch Records. The track “Stomp To My Beat” appeared in multiple releases of the Dance Dance Revolution arcade series.
