Tältprojektet, a Swedish musical theater group formed in 1977, was composed of over 100 musicians and actors. The collective included members from prominent progressive rock bands such as Nationalteatern. Their debut performance, The Tent Project, was a radical leftist political movement that toured Sweden in a large circus tent during the summer of 1977. The four-hour play chronicled the history of the Swedish working class movement and featured notable figures like August Palm and Hjalmar Branting. Totta Näslund played the central character, the beggar, while Sven Wollter served as the clown host. Ulf Dageby wrote most of the songs, including "Aldrig mera krig" (Never War Again) and "Vi äro tusenden" (We are thousands). The tour spanned 82 performances, attracting over 100,000 spectators across Sweden and Denmark. Some of the songs were later released on an LP titled Vi äro Tusenden.
