Little Eva

At the age of seventeen, she was babysitting for songwriters Carole King and Gerry Goffin, who got her to record one of their songs... Shortly afterwards, The Loco-Motion (covered in France by Sylvie Vartan) hit No. 1 in the American charts and quickly became an international hit. Little Eva went on to record two minor hits with her group the Cookies, before enjoying a less than stellar career.
