El Juguete Rabioso was a Mexican rock band formed in 1988 by Federico Bonasso and Santiago Behm, along with other musicians. The group took its name from Roberto Arlt's novel of the same title. Initially featuring Francisco Ríos on vocals, Jaime Lichi on keyboards, Fernando Urdapilleta on guitar, and Bonasso on drums, El Juguete Rabioso began performing in Mexico City. In 1989, Bonasso transitioned to lead vocals, and Coco Ruiz de Velasco joined as the drummer. The band's first album, Caras modernas, was released in 1992 under Rockotitlán with distribution by WEA. Notable songs from this period include "Mercenario" and "Tu amor mata". In 1995, they released their second album, Almatotal, through Warner Music. The band toured extensively throughout Mexico, the United States, Argentina, Spain, and Chile during the 1990s. El Juguete Rabioso disbanded in 1998 but reunited for performances at Vive Latino 2016.
