Handsome Poets, a Dutch indie pop band, was formed in 2009 in Gouda, consisting of Tim van Esch on lead vocals, Daniel Smit on drums, Nils Davidse on keyboard, Erik Bruil on guitar, and Ricardo Szabó on bass guitar. In 2011, Handsome Poets released their self-titled album Handsome Poets, which peaked at number 13 on the Mega Top 50 chart. The band followed this success with two more albums: Sky On Fire in 2012 and 2015 in 2015. Notable singles from their discography include "Blinded" (2010), "Dance (The War is Over)" (2010), and "(We Can't Be) Saints" (2011).
