Quinlan Kirchner, born on December 14, 1981, in the United States, is a drummer known for his work in jazz. He began his musical education at age ten and received a Basin Street Scholarship to study at the University of New Orleans, earning a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies. After graduating, Kirchner worked with various artists in New Orleans before moving to New York City following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. There, he completed his Master’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music. Returning to Chicago, Kirchner collaborated extensively with musicians like Jeb Bishop and Greg Ward, and performed internationally. His discography includes The Other Side of Time (2017) and The Shadows and the Light (2020).
