Diode Eins (formed in 2019, in Neuss) is a German electronic music producer and DJ trio consisting of Julien Charles Hecker, Jerome Tiaden, and Jannis Bodo Klimpel. The members, friends since graduating high school in 2016, established the group to focus on techno and progressive house. Their recording career began with the track "Exoplanet" and the self-produced debut album Signal (2019). The ensemble gained recognition in 2020 with the EP Hymenoptera Eumeninae, which charted on Beatport and received support from DJs including Uroš Umek and Anna Reusch. In 2021, the trio released the studio album Golden Hour through Circuit Music. After relocating to Cologne in 2022, Hecker, Tiaden, and Klimpel established a residency for the Lichtblick event series. The group performed at venues including KitKatClub, Odonien, and Sisyphos, and appeared at the SonneMondSterne festival in 2024 and 2025. Their later discography included the EPs Inbetween (2024) and Unfold (2025).
