Silent Lune is an alternative rock solo project founded by Roger Chávez, a Mexican musician and composer from Tijuana, Baja California. His music combines elements of grunge, post-punk, and indie rock, with lyrics that explore themes such as loneliness, love, rebellion, and hope.
Since its inception in 2007, Silent Lune has released three EPs: Silent Lune EP (2008), Melatona (2010), and Soft Decay (2014). Soft Decay was released by Class Music/Dragora Records, making it the official debut. The project has also released several singles, including "Burning Fuel," "Young Turks," and "Letters (to you)".
Roger's most successful song to date is "Last Call," which has garnered over 210,000 streams on Spotify. Silent Lune has played several festivals and venues in Mexico and the United States, receiving praise from critics and audiences for its original sound and live energy.
Since April 2023, Silent Lune has been releasing singles from his new album The Scene, which will be released on March 28th, 2025. Currently, the Christmas single "Forgive Me Santa" was released on November 29th, 2024.
