Josh Ottum, born in March 1978, is an American musician, scholar, and songwriter. He began his music career by recording Who Left the Lights on? EP in 2006. His album, Like the Season, was released in Europe by Tapete Records in 2006, followed by extensive touring through Europe in November 2006 and May 2007. Ottum participated in the Sit Down and Sing tour with Rosie Thomas and Nicolai Dunger in April 2008. Like the Season was released in the United States in 2009 by Cheap Lullaby Records. In 2011, Tapete Records released Ottum's EP Mellow Out, followed by his second full-length album Watch TV in July of the same year. His third album, Smart/dumb (2011), was funded through Kickstarter in 2012 and featured orchestral instrumentation.
