Arrigo Cappelletti, born on February 12, 1949, in Brunate, Italy, is an Italian pianist and composer known for his work in modern jazz. He received early musical training from his grandfather, a composer, and later studied philosophy at the University of Milan. Cappelletti began his music career in the 1980s, releasing his first album, Residui, with his trio in Bologna in 1982. His subsequent albums include Bianco e nero, Reflections, and Pianure. In 1988, his album Reflections was selected as one of the top ten albums of the year by the US magazine Cadence. Cappelletti has collaborated with notable musicians such as Gianni Cazzola, Sergio Fanni, Barre Phillips, Lew Soloff, and Michael Mossman.
