Kings of the City is a British rock and hip hop band from London that was formed after rapper Ali Bla Bla met lead singer and guitarist Danny Wilder at a Busta Rhymes concert at London's Wembley Arena. The band also consists of rapper Koken, bassist Memari Man, guitarist Richie 2 Pun, drummer Royal, and synthesizer player 8bit. Their debut single "I Try" was released on August 31, 2010, gaining support from BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra. The band achieved further success with singles "Listen To The Old Man" (released November 1, 2010) and "Darkness" featuring Klashnekoff (released March 11, 2011). In July 13 2012, they released their biggest underground hit "Make Me Worse", which gained additional popularity through a remix by British DJ Muzz. The band's lead singer Danny Wilder died of lung cancer on October 3, 2013, at the age of 27. Their first full-length album and final release, No Snake, was released as a tribute to Danny Wilder's legacy on August 14, 2015.
