Eugenia Rich Zukerman, known as Eugenia Zukerman, was born on September 25, 1944 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, was an American flutist, writer, and journalist. She studied music at the Juilliard School under Julius Baker. Zukerman's breakthrough came in 1970 when she won the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, leading to her debut recital at New York City's Town Hall in 1971. This performance launched her international career, with engagements including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Minnesota Orchestra. In 1980, Zukerman became the classical music correspondent for CBS News Sunday Morning. Her discography includes albums such as Time Pieces and Favorite Opera Arias.
