Adam Vincent Schreiber, known professionally as Qwel, is an American alternative hip hop rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He gained prominence in the underground rap scene. His career began with the release of his debut solo album If It Ain't Been in a Pawn Shop, Then It Can't Play the Blues (2001). He co-founded the underground rap crew Typical Cats and released the single "Face Value" (2001). He released numerous albums, including The Harvest (2004), Caffeine Dream (2006), and Owl (2010). He collaborated with various producers such as Maker, Jackson Jones, Meaty Ogre, Mike Gao, Silence, and Kip Killagain. He is an integral part of the label Galapagos4, which he co-founded.
