Rayvon Owen, born on June 27, 1991 in Richmond, Virginia, is an American singer. He graduated from Henrico High School and Belmont University before embarking on his music career. His early work includes the EP Cycles, released in 2014, which featured the singles "Rescue" and "Can't Pretend". Owen gained significant attention by appearing on the fourteenth season of American Idol, where he finished in fourth place. During his time on the show, he was known for being the only contestant to receive a fan save. Following American Idol, Owen released several singles including "Can't Fight It" in 2016, which marked his public coming out as gay. In January 2018, he was featured on the Today show performing "Gold".
