Irah is a British rapper and MC who emerged from London’s underground music scene and made a name for himself with his blend of grime, dancehall, and UK drill influences. His Jamaican heritage informs his style, and he often infuses his tracks with dancehall cadences and rhythm. He gained recognition for his collaborations with leading UK producers and artists, particularly for his work with Chase & Status and prominent grime producer Terror Danjah, collaborating with the latter on 2017's dubby, hard-hitting single "Lyrical Weapon." In 2019 he teamed up with Abstrakt Sonance for the Duppy Show LP and landed himself a spot on the UK's Top 100 Singles Chart in 2024 with the "Gunfinger (Salute)" single.
