König Boris (born June 18, 1974 in Hamburg) is a musician and singer from Germany. Born Boris Lauterbach, he also performs under the name Der König tanzt. He has spent the majority of his musical career as a member of the band Fettes Brot. Boris Lauterbach enjoyed great success in Germany with the band from 1992 onwards. Fettes Brot's best-known songs include "Nordisch by Nature" (1995), "Jein" (1996), "Schwule Mädchen" (2001) and "Emanuela". The single climbs to number 1 in the charts in Austria in 2005. In 2022, Fettes Brot announce their dissolution. After that, Boris Lauterbach focuses on his solo career. This began to take shape in 2012 under the stage name Der König Tanzt. The album Der König tanzt reached number 17 in the German album charts. The single "Alles dreht sich" reached number 62 in Germany in the same year. The album Disneyland After Dark is released in 2024 under the name König Boris. The album reaches number 55 in Germany.
