Amirah Hall was born in Norfolk, raised in Hampton, and resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She began learning to play the piano at the age of three and a half and got her first solo singing opportunity in the church choir when she was seven years old. Inspired by her poet mother, she began writing about her The world shut down halfway through Amirah’s 8th grade year due to the pandemic, and the budding singer-songwriter found herself stuck at home. That’s when she took the plunge on TikTok, publishing her first video in March 2021. Three months later, she went viral with a stirring performance of Billie Eilish's “Happier Than Ever,” which has over 11 million views. She signed with Mustard’s Grammy winning label, 10 Summers/Interscope Records, six months later.
