Oktoplut

Oktoplut, a rock music duo from Montreal, Quebec, was formed in 2012 by Mathieu Forcier on guitar and Laurence Fréchette on percussion. The group emerged after the dissolution of their previous band, Sober Down, and quickly gained attention for their eclectic blend of stoner rock and grunge with French Quebecois lyrics. Their debut album, Pansements, was released in 2014 under independent label Slam Disques, followed by the EP La sorcière de roche, a single 18-minute track, in 2016. Oktoplut's second full-length album, Le démon normal, was released in October 2017 and earned them the GAMIQ Award for Punk Album of the Year in 2018.
