Corrado Castellari, born on September 23, 1945, in Bologna, Italy, was a singer-songwriter, guitarist and composer. In the 1960s, he moved to Milan to pursue his musical career. His breakthrough came with the music for Fabrizio De André's "Il testamento di Tito" and Michele's 1971 hit "Susan dei Marinai". Castellari also became known for his collaborations with Iva Zanicchi, composing the hit "Coraggio e paura", as well as songs for notable artists such as Adriano Celentano, Mina, and Ornella Vanoni. He participated in the Zecchino d'Oro competition 14 times between 1973 and 2009, winning twice. Castellari also composed opening songs for cartoons and anime, including "Sandybell" and "La banda dei ranocchi". As a singer-songwriter, he released albums such as Angeli (2007) and Il Provinciale (2007). He died on November 23, 2013.
