Truman Brothers, an American pop-rock Christian duo composed of brothers Ben and Chad Truman, formed in Provo, Utah, in 2005 while attending Brigham Young University. The duo began their music career by performing original material on campus and at local venues, winning BYU's Battle of the Bands in both 2006 and 2007. Their first album, Hold On to Love, was released in 2016. In 2019, they signed with Shadow Mountain Records and released their EP Quiet Revolution in 2021. Notable songs from this period include "Before the Calm" and "Higher", both of which won Praiseworthy Awards for Best Original Religious Song and Best Music Video, respectively. Their follow-up EP, Face the Fire (2022), included the lead single "Oh Child," which won a Praiseworthy Award. In 2023, they released their first Christmas album, The Sounding Joy.
