Johnny Indovina (born August 5, 1957) is an American alternative rock and gothic rock singer and songwriter from New Orleans, Louisiana. Indovina began his career in 1980 with the band The Models, which relocated to Los Angeles in 1985 and was renamed Human Drama in 1986. In 1988, Human Drama signed with RCA Records, releasing the EP Hopes Prayers Dreams Heart Soul Mind Love Life Death and the album Feel in 1989. Subsequent releases included The World Inside (1992) and Songs of Betrayal (1995), featuring the tracks “This Tangled Web” and “Fascination and Fear”. Human Drama became inactive in 2005 but performed reunion concerts between 2011 and 2015. The band resumed activity with the albums Broken Songs for Broken People (2017), Blurred Images (2021), and Ten Small Fractures (2023). Indovina released the solo album Trials of the Writer in 2015 and published the lyrics collection My Bag of Secrets (The Words of Human Drama) in 1997.
