Martin Damm, born in 1968 in Kaiserslautern, Germany, is an electronic music producer and disc jockey known by his stage names The Speed Freak and Biochip C. He began his career in 1990 at the age of 18, creating techno music and releasing compositions under various aliases. In the mid-1990s, Damm gained recognition for his experimental breakbeat music and received a gold certification for remixing "I Wanna Be a Hippy" by Technohead in 1995. He released 1000 Needles (2002) under The Speed Freak moniker after signing with the French label Audiogenic, which was well-received in Europe. Damm participated in various events, including Energy, Odyssey, and Thunderdome, becoming known for his "cycore" style of hardcore techno. Throughout his career, he released numerous albums such as Disinformation Overload (2005) and Freakwaves (2008).
