Charles William Grigsby, Jr., born on September 15, 1978, in Oberlin, Ohio, is an American singer. He gained prominence by auditioning for the second season of American Idol, where he sang "Overjoyed" by Stevie Wonder and advanced to the final 12. Grigsby released his self-titled EP, Charles Grigsby, in July 2005. In 2010, he became the lead vocalist of the international band Centric. In September 2011, Grigsby released his single "Headliner" and performed it on WJW Fox 8 Cleveland News. After a period of vocal rest, he returned to the music industry with the album Hindsight in December 2020.
