Sexypop, a French rock band from Angers, was formed in 2000. The band's early performances included their debut concert at Fédurok du Chabada in Angers in 2001 and subsequent shows opening for La Ruda. Their first EP, Girls Love Electric Sheep, was released in 2001 on Buzz Off Records. In 2003, Sexypop released their debut album, Access to the Second Floor. The group received support from the FAIR (Fonds d'action et d'initiative rock) and the Ministry of Culture in 2004, which allowed them to record their second album, Strange Days, at Studio des Forces Motrices in Geneva. Produced by David Weber, Strange Days was released in 2005 on At(h)ome Records. In 2008, Sexypop released their third album, Never Be the Same. After a hiatus in 2010, they returned with the digital EP Flying Home Alone in 2016.
