New album “It's All About You - Chapter II (Live)” out now!
Theresa Grayson is a Texas-born saxophonist, vocalist, and acclaimed music educator whose career blends contemporary jazz with global and gospel influences. Raised in Houston, she began performing in church at age 12 and later earned a degree in music performance and jazz studies, along with two Master’s degrees in Counseling and Education Administration.
A respected educator since the early 2000s, Grayson launched her recording career with IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU (2010), followed by LIVE2LOVE (2013), featuring charting singles like “Afterthoughts.” Known for her versatility on soprano and tenor sax, flute, and vocals, her sound fuses jazz with gospel, R&B, pop, and world music.
Her project WORLD BLUE (2015) further expands her artistry into a global fusion experience inspired by her years teaching world music, featuring international styles, notable guest artists, and creative reinterpretations.
Rooted in her passion for music ministry, Grayson’s work also carries a message of healing and inspiration. Her piece “Let It Rain,” featuring vocal appearances by Earnest Pugh and Wess Morgan, reflects her desire to uplift through instrumental praise, symbolizing renewal, breakthrough, and the transformative power of God’s presence—inviting listeners into a space of peace, faith, and restoration.

Grayson has performed extensively across the U.S., sharing stages with artists such as Peter White, Marion Meadows, Mindi Abair, Ronnie Laws, Michael Bolton, Will Downing, and Zacardi Cortez, and appearing at major jazz festivals and events nationwide.
