Feufollet is a popular American Cajun music group that originated in Lafayette, Louisiana. The band was formed in the late 1990s by a group of young musicians who were passionate about preserving and promoting the region's rich musical history. Even though their work is deeply rooted in the Cajun and Creole traditions of Southwest Louisiana, the band has also incorporated elements of rock, pop, and other genres into their music over the years. Feufollet's original lineup included multi-instrumentalist and bandleader Chris Stafford, Anna Laura Edmiston, Chris Segura, Joshua Caffery, Mike Stafford, and Billeaudeaux. Since then, the band has gone through several personnel changes, but has maintained a consistent sound and style throughout their career. Even before releasing any original material, the group had already offered its first international show by playing before the President of France in Canada in 1999. That year, Feufollet made their debut with La Bande Feufollet, which was nominated for Best First Album by the Cajun French Music Association. The band would continue to garner critical acclaim over the following years for albums such as Belle Louisiane (2001), Tout un Beau Soir (2004), and Cow Island Hop (2008), their first release for Valcour Records. In 2010, their fifth studio effort En Couleurs received a nomination for Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Founding member Anna Laura Edminston left the group in 2012 and was replaced by Kelli Jones-Savoy, who made her debut alongside new members Andrew Toups and Jim Kolacek on 2015's Two Universes.
