Kjartan Aasland Salvesen, born on October 17, 1976, in Sandnes, Norway, is a singer and football commentator. His initial breakthrough came in 2004 when he won the second season of Norwegian Idol, securing 840,000 votes, the highest number for any participant on the show. Following his victory, Salvesen released his debut single "Standing Tall", which achieved five times platinum status and became the best-selling single in Norway's history. His self-titled album, Kjartan Salvesen, was also certified platinum. In 2007, he released the album Then Silence. In 2009, he became a football commentator for VGTV and later began working in the marketing department of the Viking Football Club.
