Rebecca Trescher, born on August 6, 1986, in Tübingen, Germany, is a jazz clarinetist and composer. She began her musical journey with classical clarinet training and later discovered jazz through a school combo. Trescher studied at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg from 2008 to 2013, earning diplomas in music education and jazz clarinet. In 2017, she released the album Floating Food, followed by Where We Go in 2019 and Silent Landscapes in 2022. Trescher has performed at notable venues such as the Jazzfest Bonn and Jazzahead Bremen. She composed a 120-minute concert piece for Sergei Eisenstein's October in 2017 and worked for the Siemens Orchestra Erlangen in 2018. Her awards include the Preis der Stadt Nürnberg in 2015, the Bayerischer Kunstförderpreis in 2017, and the Down Beat Critics Poll - Rising Star in 2022.
