Carlos Enrique Parra del Riego Campoverde, known as Charlie Parra del Riego, was born on March 5, 1985, in Peru and is a singer-songwriter and guitarist. He founded Difonía in 2003, a band with hardcore punk and heavy metal influences that gained prominence through festivals like the Festival Internacional Altavoz in 2010. Parra also played in Serial Asesino and Masacre, one of Latin America's earliest heavy metal bands. In 2010, he released a viral heavy metal version of "Himno Nacional del Perú" on a video streaming platform. His first solo album, Procrastinación/Procrastination, was released in 2011 and included the singles "Speed Fcks" and "Punk vs Metal". In 2012, Parra joined Kobra and the Lotus for European and North American tours, performing with bands like Steel Panther and Fear Factory. He contributed to albums such as High Priestess by Kobra and the Lotus and Organic I*, a collaboration with Jeremy Castillo and Oliver Castillo.
