Alliance, a Soviet and Russian rock band, was formed in 1981 in Moscow by Igor Zhuravlev, Andrey Tumanov, and Vladimir Ryabov. Their early years saw them playing ska, reggae, and cover versions of Western artists. In 1983, they recorded their first album Kukla. The band's breakthrough came in 1987 with the single "На заре" ("At Dawn"). Alliance participated in various festivals and tours throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s. In 2019, they released the album Хочу летать (Wanna Fly!), marking their first release in 25 years. On June 20, 2020, former keyboardist Oleg Parastaev passed away at the age of 61.
