Mayalde, a traditional music group from Salamanca, Spain, was formed in 1980 by Eusebio and Pilar, who originated from La Maya and Aldeatejada. The duo initially performed as part of the pioneering salmantina group Tronco Seco before forming Mayalde, combining elements of their hometowns' names. Their debut album, La Herencia, was released in 1986. In subsequent years, they expanded to include their children Laura and Arturo. The group was known for using everyday objects like spoons and orinales as instruments, showcasing this unique approach in the documentary ¡FOLK! Una mirada a la música tradicional. Other notable albums include Dar posá (Villancicos tradicionales) (1998), Camino de la plata: 25 años para el enzeusiasmo (2004), and Nanas con ná (2016).
