Jaws, an English indie rock band formed in Birmingham in 2012, was founded by Connor Schofield after he posted a demo online and received positive feedback. The band, which included Alex Hudson on lead guitar, Eddy Geach on drums, and Jake Cooper on bass, released their debut EP Milkshake in April 2013. Their first full-length album, Be Slowly, was released in September 2014, featuring the title track produced by Oliver Horton. The band's music gained traction with notable placements such as "Stay In" on Ubisoft's game Rocksmith 2014 and "Gold" featured in an episode of Hollyoaks. Jaws toured extensively, supporting acts like The Twang, Peace, and Swim Deep. Their second album, Simplicity, was released in November 2016, followed by their third and final album, The Ceiling, in April 2019. After releasing several standalone singles, including "Yours" in April 2025, Jaws disbanded immediately following three farewell shows.
