Roomies, a neo-soul band led by Sosuke Oikawa, was formed in Tokyo, Japan, in 2019. The band’s current lineup includes four members. The group uses a house in Tokyo called “Roomies House” as its base for jam sessions and recording. In December 2021, the band released its first album “The Roomies” on streaming platforms. Their soulful and mellow vocals, combined with a mix of soul/R&B and pop sounds, gained attention and were featured on many official playlists in Japan as well as overseas.
