Justina Lee Brown, born Justina Ogunlolu on July 23, 1984, in Ajegunle, Nigeria, is a Nigerian singer known for her work across various genres including Afro, funk, soul, blues, rock, and jazz. In 2005, during a visit to Switzerland, she met bassist Dean Zucchero, who supported her in forming her first band, The United Nations. Her breakthrough came with the release of "Omo 2 Sexy" in 2008 and her debut album A Touch of Blues in 2013. Brown's career saw significant milestones including winning second place at the Nokia First Change singing competition in 2006 and the Swiss Blues Challenge in 2019 with Nic Niedermann. She reached the semifinals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2020 and placed second at the European Blues Challenge in Malmö in 2022. Brown has performed in over 30 countries, including a notable performance before more than 60,000 attendees at the Blues & Jazz Festival in Rappersville, Switzerland, in 2023.
