Islamic Force, an Oriental hip-hop group from Berlin, was founded in the late 1980s. The band consisted of members with diverse ethnic backgrounds, including Boe-B, Killa Hakan, DJ Cut Em' T, Maxim36, DJ Derezon, and Nelie. Their initial focus was on American hip-hop, but they soon began integrating Turkish music elements into their sound. In 1992, Islamic Force released their first record, My Melody / Istanbul, which combined popular hip-hop with traditional Turkish music to address racism towards Turks in Germany. The group's subsequent album, Mesaj, was released in 1997. Throughout their career, Islamic Force advocated for minority rights in German society, often highlighting the plight of Gastarbeiter, or guest workers. They later changed their name to Kan-AK and began rapping in Turkish to better connect with their roots. The group ceased activity around 2000.
