Eric Justin Kaz is an American singer-songwriter born on January 21, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York. Kaz began his career as a member of Blues Magoos, performing on the albums Never Goin' Back to Georgia (1969) and Gulf Coast Bound (1970). He released solo albums including If You're Lonely (1972) and Cul-De-Sac (1974) before forming the band American Flyer in 1975 with Craig Fuller, Steve Katz, and Doug Yule. Kaz received multiple awards from ASCAP and CMA for his songwriting. His compositions include Linda Ronstadt's “Love Has No Pride” and George Strait's Number 1 country hit “I Cross My Heart”. Kaz also wrote Michael Bolton's Number One adult contemporary single “That's What Love is All About”. His film work includes the scores for the Brian De Palma productions Greetings (1968) and Hi, Mom! (1970). Kaz later released the albums 1000 Years of Sorrow (2002) and Eric Kaz (2015).
