Nicola Arigliano, born on December 6, 1923 in Squinzano, Italy, was a jazz singer. He left home at a young age due to teasing over his stutter and moved to various cities, where he worked while studying music theory and learning the saxophone. Arigliano's breakthrough came in 1952 with the Newport Jazz Festival, leading to television appearances and a professional career. His first major hit was "I Sing Ammore" in 1960, reaching ninth place on the Italian charts. In 1961, "Sentimentale" topped the Italian charts. Arigliano participated in the Sanremo Music Festival in 1964 with "20 Km Al Giorno". He moved to Magliano Sabina in 1968, reducing his activities. In 2005, he returned to the Sanremo Festival, winning the Critics' Award with "Colpevole". Arigliano passed away on March 30, 2010.
