The avid singer-songwriter & performer was born in Venezuela, and raised in Miami, FL.
Coming from an artistic household singing, acting and dancing have always been second nature
to Manu. She lived in Venezuela, Mexico & Spain before her family made the permanent move
to the US when she was 11- having experienced such different cultures at a young age has given
Manu many sounds to gain influence from for her music. She studied Theater in High School then went on to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2012. Wanting to start her professional career Manu moved back to Miami in 2014 & went into the studio independently to produced her first EP titled Como Soy which helped her define her unique style for combining meaningful lyrics with multiple genres including Latin, Jazz, Urban, Funk, R&B and
Neo-Soul effortlessly. The EP would earn Manu her first Latin Grammy® nomination for "best New Artist"
After signing with Peer music publishing, she released her second EP “Intermedio” which remained true to her Jazz roots. Now, at 26 she is with in tu línea - UMG as her label and has just finished her third project “Despues de las 12” which she executive produced. The EP includes two singles “Te quiero Ver” feat Colombian reggaeton star Feid & “X La ventana.” In February 2020 she represented Venezuela in the prestigious festival “Viña Del Mar” and just recently released her latest video and track “Solo Amigos” which video she recorded at home during the quarantine period.
