Dead Man's Eyes, a German rock band formed in 2010, originated from the indie-rock group Bandit, which was founded by Peter Engel, Simon Reichelt, and Robin Hertner. The band evolved into Dead Man’s Eyes with the addition of bassist Simon Mead. Their first release was the EP Meet Me in the Desert, self-published in 2013. After a five-year hiatus marked by lineup changes, Dead Man's Eyes released their debut album Words of Prey in June 2018 via Tonzonen Records. The album was described as a "Sommerfestival-Soundtrack 2018." In 2019, the band was nominated for the popNRW-Preis in the Newcomer category. Dead Man's Eyes performed live with acts such as Tame Impala and Black Mountain. Their third album III was released in August 2022, featuring the single "High on Information" from April of that year.
