Abderrahmane Lahlou, known professionally as Oulahlou, was born on August 9, 1963, in Takorabt, a village located within the commune of Ighil Ali in Kabylie, Algeria. He is an Algerian singer and songwriter. He gained prominence through his politically charged lyrics, with songs like "Pouvoir assassin" and "Arraw n Tlelli" becoming anthems during the 2001 Kabylie protests. He completed his higher education in psychology at the University of Constantine. His first listed album is Itbiren from 1998, which includes tracks like "Iha Iha", "Lilca", "Amaziɣ", "Itbiren", "Assekrem", and "Tagmarin". His 1999 album Si 54 ar 99 includes tracks such as "Tibekkitt", "L'Australie", "Wardia", "Jidda", and "Lebher". He released the album Slilwan in 2010. Throughout his career, he has been known for his outspoken stance against corruption and authoritarianism, advocating for freedom and the recognition of Tamazight as an official language.
