Inspired by the likes of Common, D'Angelo, Outkast, and Lil Wayne, an embodiment of each of these legends his overall sound encompasses elements of Hip-hop, Rap and Neo-soul. Personally describing his style as Introspective, Honest, and soon to be Barrier Breaking, Obie initiated his artistic journey with his song Krush. Complete with a smooth delivery and passionate flows, he tells a compelling story about love, using punchy lyrics against a soft, yet subtle, boom-bap beat. If Krush tells us anything, with his confidence, hunger, and contrasting tones, Obie may one day truly be the standout artist he desires to be.
