Ndombe Opetum, known as Pepe Ndombe and born on March 3, 1944, in Bandundu Province of what was then known as the Belgian Congo, was a Congolese singer. He began his music career as a member of Afrisa International before joining TPOK Jazz in the mid-1970s. With TPOK Jazz, Opetum composed several notable songs, including "Coupe du Monde" (1979) and "Youyou" (1980). He remained with the band until its disbandment in December 1993. Following TPOK Jazz, Opetum co-founded Bana OK in January 1994, where he continued his musical journey until his death. Ndombe Opetum passed away on May 24, 2012, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
