Paris Washboard, a French jazz group devoted to Dixieland jazz revival, was founded in 1988 by Alain Marquet and Daniel Barda. The duo, former members of Gilbert Leroux's Washboard Group, began their journey with recordings for Stomp Off Records under the name Paris Washboard. Their initial lineup included pianist Louis Mazetier, and they quickly gained popularity, leading to continued recording and performing together. In 1993, Gerard Gervois joined on tuba, and the group made its debut in the United States at the Great Connecticut Traditional Jazz Festival. Throughout their career, Paris Washboard released several albums including Live in Gaveau (1993), California Here We Come (1994), Love Nest (1996), Caravan (1999), and The Entertainers (2008). They toured extensively across Europe, Australia, and the United States.
