Pachuco Cadáver, a Spanish music duo, was formed in Madrid in 1989 by Argentine musicians Guillermo Piccolini and Roberto Pettinato. The group's name was inspired by the song "Pachuco Cadáver" from Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica album. Initially, Pachuco Cadáver blended a fusion of musical styles with psychedelic influences, synthetic fanfares, and dadaist elements. Their first album, Tres Huevos Bajo Tierra, was released in 1990 under the Triquinoise label and featured covers of "I'm the Fly" by Wire and "Sunshine of Your Love" by Cream. After Pettinato returned to Argentina, Piccolini took over vocals for live performances with Alejo Alberdi on guitar. In 1992, they released their second album, Life in La Pampa, before disbanding in 1993. Post-breakup, both members pursued solo projects and other collaborations. The duo reunited in 2020 for a series of concerts and a tour.
