BRIDEAR is a Japanese all-female metal band formed in 2012 in Fukuoka. Originally consisting of KIMI (vocals), Misa and Mitsuki (guitars), HARU (bass), and KAI (drums), the band quickly established a unique sound blending melodic metal, progressive structures, and high-energy performances. After lineup changes, the core lineup evolved to include KIMI (vocals), AYUMI and MOE (guitars), HARU (bass), and NATSUMI (drums). By their fourth year, they embarked on their first European tour, and by 2023 had completed six international tours, building a strong overseas following. In 2019, they made their Japanese major label debut with Avex Trax and began releasing music under the UK-based label Setsuzoku Records for global distribution. Their 2022 album Aegis of Athena earned international acclaim, ranking 5th in Metal Hammer UK’s annual power metal album list. That same year, they played major festivals like NAON no YAON and Summer Sonic. In 2023, they appeared at Japan’s premier metal event, LOUD PARK. In 2024, BRIDEAR released the album Born Again, produced by Swedish metal legend Fredrik Nordström, marking a new creative chapter. In 2025, BRIDEAR released the mini album Reborn 2013-2016, chronicling key early material.
