Mika Kobayashi (born May 31, 1978, in Hiroshima) is a Japanese singer-songwriter and pianist. After moving to Tokyo at age 18, Kobayashi won the Buchō Shima Kōsaku new female singer audition at 22. She released her debut album, Tsukiyo no Kakeochi, in 2005. In 2010, Kobayashi achieved a commercial breakthrough as a frequent vocalist for composer Hiroyuki Sawano, contributing to anime soundtracks including “βios” for Guilty Crown, “Before My Body Is Dry” for Kill la Kill, and “ət’æk 0N tάɪtn” for Attack on Titan. Her video game work includes “Forever Today” from Final Fantasy XI and “Your Voice” from Xenoblade Chronicles X. Kobayashi often performs with the samurai sword dance troupe Kengishu KAMUI. In 2016, she founded the label Miccabose. Her international career includes performances at Anime Friends (2019), Saudi Arabia (2023), and Anime Summit (2024).
